Have you already developed an interactive story either 2D or 3D, either fiction or documentary? Try out how this story could be developed with INSCAPE and submit this piece of work in the INSCAPE Special Award of the EUROPRIX Multimedia award to compete to win a laptop with the INSCAPE final version pre-installed handed to the winner at the EUROPRIX Festival in Graz in November.
INSCAPE is a software suite for interactive stories working with pre-defined code snippets to put interactions on mouse-click events and triggers intuitively together while drag and drop the assets from the library and attach events to the objects easily by using code snippets. Transitions can be built easily by just connecting the scenes with the cursor. INSCAPE is also coming with an easy and overlooking storyboarding tool for linear and interactive stories.

The INSCAPE Open Community Concept
The INSCAPE project wants to involve end-users and potential creative authors in each stage of the development of the proposed authoring software toolbox for interactive storytelling. The specifications for this tool will be driven by an analysis of the needs of real world users participating in the project as partners or involved in the INSCAPE Open Community.
Through the lifetime of the project the INSCAPE integrated system will be available in successive version (alpha, beta, final) provided to the end-users, including the Open Community, for purposes of validation on real-cases, demonstration and training.
The Open Community is an open and large community of potential users and interested parties composed of creators, content providers, art professionals, researchers, teachers, scientists, industrials, students, citizens, gamers, tourists etc. It is free network of creatives who are working within interactive storytelling to get inspiration and exchange and to initiate discussions about requirements and tools different people are using.
Open Community Members:
- profit from an exchange and cooperation with other people working with interactive storytelling around the world;
- are able to contribute to the development of an innovative tool which will enter market after 2008;
- are among the first users to try out its functionalities.
The Consortium wants to make a leap forward in the technologies which support creative interactive storytelling. We would like to work with you as potential end-user to be one of the first to learn about the results, use and test the developed technologies at early stages and provide feed-back and input in how to optimize for broad use and roll out.
