Dear INSCAPE users,
the first INSCAPE Final version implementing the definitive data model is being uploaded on Gaimon. (/home/inscape/Exchange/_TGDeliveries/)
The stories made with that version will be compatible with the official final release.
If you have an access to the Mantis bug tracker you already know the huge amount of bugs that have been fixed ! There are also many improvements to the version used during the Toulouse Training Session:
- Snippets have a smaller size
- Events can now have parameters
- Snippet parameters can have default values
- Completion is available for snippet parameters
- 2 new lua methods to intersect the entities with a ray, and get a position on a path
- Object editor has many fixes and is faster
- Export has been improved and fixed
- New sound system version
- New sound snippets
- New toolbox icons
… and much more !
The installer has also been reshaped, it also installs the plugins for 3DS Max for instance.
INSCAPE can now be installed on Windows Vista, but you'll have to manually remove the 2D Stage Editor and Character Behaviour Editor plugins (in Bin/plugins) which are not compatible yet.
If you have any question or request (how to use a feature, what an object can do, a requested snippet, etc.), don't hesitate to use the tech forum on http://www.inscapers.com. We'll try to be reactive on that forum, an we'll also use it to inform you about the next releases.
